About Me
My upbringing is an amalgamation of traditional values & modern thinking. I have completed my schooling in the Middle East & did my undergraduate studies (B. Tech) in Civil Engineering from SVNIT Surat.
Thereafter I worked for two years as a structural engineer in a consultancy firm in Hyderabad. Currently,I'm working as a Public Relations professional at Weber Shandwick Singapore after completing a masters degree in media & Communication at NTU Singapore.
Growing up I was an introvert who found solace in books. In my spare time, you will find me engrossed in a hardcover novel (or my trusted Kindle) oblivious of my surroundings. My favourite authors include Khaled Hosseini, Marjane Satrapi, Sudha Murty and Benyamin to name a few. One way in which I give shape to the thoughts and feelings that inhabit my mind at any given moment is via the written word,mainly poetry and short stories.
When I'm passionate and ambitious about something,... more everything ceases to be an obstacle. That is precisely why, despite my engineering background, I decided to pursue a degree and a career in Media and Communications. It is the cliched "3 idiots" story if you will. But an essential aspect of who I am,nevertheless. The only sport I enjoy is badminton and my guilty pleasure is dancing to some good ol' Bollywood music. My Netflix search history consists of questionable war documentaries and thriller movies. What can I say? History, the irony of life, and human emotions fascinate me.
On a much lighter note, I am seeking a life partner. Not someone who completes me but an individual who is complete by himself. An individual with whom I can yap my heart out on any topic under the sun at any given moment but also someone with whom I can share comfortable silences. An individual who becomes as much a part of my family and friend circle as much as I seek to become one of his. An individual with whom I can build a beautiful life, going forward.
