Hello! I am currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Cardiovascular Sciences! I have about 2 years left in my PhD program and I am actively working towards a career in academia as a professor, while also considering my industry (pharma?) options. I have not chosen a city to be tied down to yet and am open to relocation post-PhD.

While I enjoy my career, I believe in balancing work with fun and adventure. I would not say I am insanely athletic or anything, however I do play tennis and squash recreationally, and have fun trying other sports. I also enjoy trekking, and am training to be able to jog a 10K. I would say I am adventurous; I have done things like skydiving, the CN tower edgewalk, snorkeling, and treetop trekking, and am always on the lookout for the next adventure. Travelling is something I absolutely love, and I enjoy exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. However, a lot of my free time is also spent painting, crafting, cooking,... more playing board games or going on peaceful walks with my friends & family.

Lastly, I would say I come from an upper middle class family. I was born in India, and my parents brought me to Canada when I was 1. I have been brought up in a semi-traditional way - they are very supportive of me and my goals, and have always encouraged me to reach my full potential.

All in all, I would describe myself as motivated, hardworking, adventurous yet simple, caring, cultural and family-oriented. I would like a partner who will be my best friend, and we will be lifelong companions through all the highs and lows of life. If our values and interests match, I would love to connect and see where things go!
